Professional Hygiene

Swiss protocol: no pain, no noise, no stress. Every 6 months — the foundation of prevention.

Professional hygiene: the foundation everything starts from

Even perfect home brushing does not solve everything: a toothbrush cannot reach hardened deposits below the gum line and between the teeth. Plaque mineralises, gums get inflamed and start bleeding — this is how problems begin unnoticed and end in gum treatment and tooth loss.

The Swiss protocol: no pain, no noise, no stress

We perform hygiene following the international Swiss protocol — gentle on enamel and gums.

  1. Consultation and examination. The doctor assesses your teeth and gums and tailors the procedure.
  2. Removal of soft and hard deposits. Including subgingival tartar that a toothbrush cannot reach.
  3. Hard-to-reach areas. Interdental spaces, the retainer area, the back teeth.
  4. Enamel polishing. A smooth surface stays clean longer, and teeth get their natural colour back.

Hygiene also saves you money

A cleaning every six months costs incomparably less than treating caries, root canals or prosthetics. Most importantly, at regular visits the doctor notices changes at the earliest stage — when the solution is simple and inexpensive.

Why Code Dental

Hygiene here is a doctor's examination, not "a line item from the price list". If something needs attention, you will hear about it without scare tactics or unnecessary prescriptions: the doctor does not frighten you with a list, but sets priorities — what matters now and what can simply be monitored.

Q&A

Frequently asked questions

Why professional hygiene if I brush my teeth at home?

A toothbrush cannot remove hardened deposits below the gum line. They build up → inflammation appears → gums start bleeding → teeth loosen and fall out. Professional hygiene every six months is a necessity, not a recommendation.

Does it hurt?

No. The protocol is designed to be pain-free, noise-free and stress-free. For sensitive areas, topical anaesthesia is available on request.

How often do I need professional hygiene?

Every six months. If you wear a retainer or braces, or your gums are prone to inflammation, the doctor may recommend more frequent visits.

How is hygiene different from whitening?

Hygiene removes deposits and brings back the natural colour of your teeth. Whitening changes the shade of the enamel itself. Quite often, after a cleaning the question of whitening simply goes away.
