Crowns and tooth restoration
An old crown rarely announces a problem directly. More often the signs are indirect: an unpleasant smell, inflamed or bluish gum next to it, a darkening crown margin. Meanwhile caries may be developing underneath — and the longer the visit is postponed, the less tooth remains to be saved.
How we solve an old-crown problem
- Removing the old restoration. Carefully, preserving tooth structure.
- Assessment. The doctor sees the real picture: the condition of the core, the canals and the gum.
- Treatment. Root canal retreatment and tooth build-up — when indicated.
- A new crown. Digital scanning instead of impressions, a precise fit and a natural look.
When a crown is needed
- the tooth is damaged beyond what a filling can restore;
- a root-treated tooth needs protection against fracture;
- cracks and wear are changing the tooth shape and bite height.
Why Code Dental
Our goal is to save your tooth whenever it can be saved: a crown is placed when it is genuinely needed, not "to be safe". We follow a digital workflow: fewer visits, a more precise fit, a predictable appearance. Crowns and prosthetic work start from AED 1,500; the exact plan and cost come after diagnostics — and before treatment begins.
